Description
This image shows students sitting in a conference room while a professor Dr. Harvard Ayers, Department of Sociology and Anthropology, discusses a skull during an enrichment program at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the 1970s. The Michael R. Patricelli Craft Enrichment Program was organized in the Department of Industrial Arts and Technological Education and offered craft workshops, including pottery, mosaics, welding, and blacksmithing. Appalachian State also offered extra-curricular and summer enrichment programs in various academic and athletic fields. They are managed by the Office of Conferences and Institutes.
