Cannon Music Camp, recital, 1981, photo 2

This image shows students at the Cannon Music Camp at Appalachian State University (1967-current) playing instruments on a stage performing during a recital in August 1981. The Cannon Music Camp began in 1969 and focused providing intensive group and individual training in performance and music theory. Recitals and concerts are performed regularly throughout the summer. The man in the center of the photograph who is playing the saxophone is Dr. William A. Gora, Assistant Professor in the Department of Music.
