Mrs. Plemmons’  went by the name of Bebe And is wearing the white dress. Seated on the other side of President Plemmons and wearing the black dress is Mrs. Lois Isley, wife of Dr. Charles Isley who was a Professor in the Department of Music. The woman seated on the far right is Mrs. Nicholas Erneston, who was the Dean of the College of Fine and Applied Arts.

This image shows Professor William Spencer speaking at an awards banquet for the Cannon Music Camp in Welborn Cafeteria, built 1925, at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in August 1969. Seen sitting in the foreground is Mrs. and Dr. Plemmons, Appalachian State president from 1955-1969. The awards to be distributed can be seen on the table. The Cannon Music Camp began in 1969 and focused providing intensive group and individual training in performance and music theory. Recitals and concerts are performed regularly throughout the summer. Mrs. Plemmons went by the name of Bebe And is wearing the white dress. Seated on the other side of President Plemmons and wearing the black dress is Mrs. Lois Isley, wife of Dr. Charles Isley who was a Professor in the Department of Music. The woman seated on the far right is Mrs. Nicholas Erneston, who was the Dean of the College of Fine and Applied Arts.
