Description

This image shows an Appalachian State University (1967-current) employee who was the recipient of a fifteen year pin during a SEANC meeting in 1972. The State Employees Association of North Carolina (SEANC) started in 1940 to provide representation for state employees in the North Carolina General Assembly, and held its first convention in 1947. The organization promoted increased salaries, retirement plans, health plans, and the addition of the Friday after Thanksgiving as an employee holiday.
