This image shows five Appalachian State University (1967-current) employees who were recipients of fifteen year pins during a SEANC meeting in 1972. Seen are Junior Eldreth, Kathleen Seagle, Anna Brewer, Angaline Edmisten, and Ned Trivette. The State Employees Association of North Carolina (SEANC) started in 1940 to provide representation for state employees in the North Carolina General Assembly, and held its first convention in 1947. The organization promoted increased salaries, retirement plans, health plans, and the addition of the Friday after Thanksgiving as an employee holiday.
