This image shows the attendees of a faculty retirement luncheon held at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the 1970s. The luncheon was held in honor of retiring faculty. Attendees can be seen sitting at tables in Welborn Cafeteria, built 1925. Seated in the foreground are Mrs. L.B. (“Rusty”) Miller and Dr. N.A. (“Andy”) Miller, husband of Mrs. L.B. Miller. Seated on the far right of the photograph and wearing glasses is Mr. Starr Stacey. The second woman on is right is Mrs. Gwen Stacey, wife of Mr. Starr Stacey. Between Dr. And Mrs. Miller and wearing the plaid sport coat is Mr. Herman Eggers, Registrar. Mr. Stacey was a Professor in the Department of Mathematics. Seated in the foreground are Mrs. L.B.
