Description

This image shows Edwin Duncan and President William Howard Plemmons (1955-1969) at the ribbon cutting at Edwin Duncan Hall, built 1965, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) on November 14, 1965. Plemmons can be seen standing on the left, and Edwin Duncan, banker and supporter of Appalachian State, can be seen standing second from the left. Two others are standing on the right. Edwin Duncan Hall was considered the largest classroom building in North Carolina at the time.
