This image shows students sitting outside Cannon Residence Hall, built 1968, at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the 1970s. The sign reads, "If allowed to survive this grass will produce enough oxygen for two students to breath for one semester." Students can be seen lying on the grass in the background.
