Rivers Street Tunnel, 1977, photo 1

This image shows two students walking through a tunnel under Rivers Street at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the 1970s. The two pedestrian tunnels helped limit pedestrian traffic over Rivers Street, located between Rankin Science Hall and Newland Hall.
