This image shows attendees of a meeting of the Alumni Association at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in August 1966. President William Howard Plemmons (1955-1969) can be seen holding a pipe and speaking with a woman. The Alumni Association started in 1934 and met at least once a year during Homecoming for reunions, association business, and officer elections. The woman standing next to President Plemmons is Ms. Ruby Daniel, and standing next to her is her husband, Dr. Hugh Daniel.
