Alumni Association, 1966, luncheon, photo 1

This image shows a luncheon held by the Alumni Association at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in Welborn Cafeteria, built 1925, in August 1966. Attendees can be seen sitting at tables, with one man, possibly Alumnus and cafeteria manager John Welborn, standing in the center. The Alumni Association started in 1934 and met at least once a year during Homecoming for reunions, association business, and officer elections. The man in the center of the picture is indeed Mr John Welborn. To his left and wearing glasses is Mr. Gerald Adams.
