This image shows President William Howard Plemmons (1955-1969) speaking on stage at a meeting of the Alumni Association at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in August 1966. Other speakers can be seen sitting on the stage behind him. The Alumni Association started in 1934 and met at least once a year during Homecoming for reunions, association business, and electing new officers.
