Description

This image shows Dr. David White wearing a keffiyeh, a traditional Arab headdress, while teaching a World Civilization class in the Department of History at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in 1985-86. Students are seen sitting at desks taking notes on the left. The Department of History provides programs leading to a Bachelor of Arts in History, Bachelor of Science in Teaching and Social Science Education, and a non-teaching Bachelor of Science degree, and Master's in History, History Education, and Public History. This image appears in the 1986 Rhododendron (p. 248).
