This image shows Chancellor Herbert Walter Wey (1969-1979) standing in the shower room while water shoots out of three shower heads in Broome-Kirk Gymnasium, built 1968, in the Department of Health, Leisure, and Exercise Science at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the 1970s. The Department of Health, Leisure, and Exercise Science is located in the College of Fine and Applied Arts, and offers degrees in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Health Promotions, Physical Education and Recreation Management.
