This image shows Professor Loren Raymond, center, of the Department of Geology at Appalachian State University (1967-current) with two others at a Geology Conference in the 1970s. The conference was attended by members of the Department of Geology at Appalachian State and other geologists. The man on the right is Mr. Hugh Morton, photographer and nature conservationist who developed Grandfather Mountain.
