Lincoln Heights School

Between 1951 and 1968, when she was not at NYU or Camp Quannacut, Elizabeth Ann Parks Grinton taught at the Lincoln Heights School where she had received her early edcuation.  Her first teaching position was at the Lincoln Heights Highschool, where she was in charge of 56 8th grade students.1  Due to desegregation, many of the students who had been attending Lincoln Heights were integrated into other schools beginning in 1964.  Mrs. Grinton was a teacher here until the school was closed in 1968.
