This image shows two men observing the circuit breakers for the Department of Chemistry at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in January 1968. The Department of Chemistry exists within the College of Arts and Sciences, and aims to provide training for future chemists, basic understanding of the principles of chemistry, and chemistry teachers. The Department has been accredited by the American Chemical Society.
