This image shows Dr. Donald Sink and Dr. Thomas Rhyne of the Department of Chemistry standing in a classroom at Appalachian State University (1967-current), holding up a copy of "Physical Science Laboratory Manual, Part II." The Department of Chemistry exists within the College of Arts and Sciences, and aims to provide training for future chemists, basic understanding of the principles of chemistry, and chemistry teachers. The Department has been accredited by the American Chemical Society.
