Description
This image shows Professor Kent Robinson of the Department of Biology at Appalachian State University (1967-current) speaking with a group of children in a field in May 1972. The event was part of an educational film project. The Department of Biology aimed to provide cultural background in life sciences, prepare biology teachers, and train biologists, and included courses on ecology, zoology, and botany. It is housed in the College of Arts and Sciences and maintains a greenhouse, a herbarium, and several land tracts located on and off campus.
