Biology, field trip, 1977, photo 2

This image shows the some students and faculty eating at a diner in June 1977. They are attendees of a Biology Department field trip taken by students and faculty at Appalachian State University (1967-current). The Department of Biology aimed to provide cultural background in life sciences, prepare biology teachers, and train biologists. It is housed in the College of Arts and Sciences and maintains a greenhouse, a herbarium, and several land tracts located on and off campus.
