This image shows three people standing in front of an art display at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the mid to late 1970s. Standing on the right is Department Chairman Lawrence Edwards. The Art Department is located in the College of Fine and Applied Arts. It includes concentrations in clay, drawing, fibers, metals/jewelry, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture, and often displays student and faculty art in the Catherine Smith Gallery and the Turchin Center for Visual Arts.
