This image shows a student pulling threads from colored spools sitting on a workbench in the Art Department at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the mid to late 1970s. Brochures, cloth, and woven items can be seen hanging on the wall on the left. The Art Department is located in the College of Fine and Applied Arts. It includes concentrations in clay, drawing, fibers, metals/jewelry, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture.
