Description

This image shows Dr. Lorraine Force, Professor of Art, showing a rug with peacock feathers woven into the design to a group of students, part of an arts workshop demonstration held in July 1974 by the Art Department at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in mid to late 1970s. The workshop possibly took place at Camp Broadstone. The Art Department was one of the first departments at Appalachian State and is located in the College of Fine and Applied Arts. It includes concentrations in clay, drawing, fibers, metals/jewelry, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture.
