Description
This image shows a group of students in an art class taught by Dr. Harold Carrin, posing in front of a chalkboard in a classroom at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in mid to late 1970s. Carrin can be seen standing on the left. The Art Department was one of the first departments at Appalachian State and is located in the College of Fine and Applied Arts. It includes concentrations in clay, drawing, fibers, metals/jewelry, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture.
