This image shows Bill Dunlap standing by a painting in January 1972 in the Art Department at Appalachian State University (1967-current). Painting includes people standing in a group, reading, "A Family Portrait." The Art Department is located in the College of Fine and Applied Arts. It includes concentrations in clay, drawing, fibers, metals/jewelry, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture, and often displays student and faculty art in the Catherine Smith Gallery and the Turchin Center for Visual Arts.
