Description
This image shows a group of students in an art class taught by Dr. Harold Carrin, sitting on the steps outside a building at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in mid to late 1970s. The Art Department was one of the first departments at Appalachian State and is located in the College of Fine and Applied Arts. It includes concentrations in clay, drawing, fibers, metals/jewelry, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture. Dr. Carrin is the tallest in the background.
