This image shows a faculty banquet in the mid-1980s held in Welborn Cafeteria, built 1925, at Appalachian State University (1967-current). Chancellor John E. Thomas (1979-1993) can be seen shaking hands with a faculty member and handing her a framed Outstanding Teacher Award. Other faculty members can be seen sitting at tables around them. Receiving the award is Dr. Judith Pulley (History Professor).
