This image shows groups sitting at tables during the reevaluation of Appalachian State University (1967-current) by the by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools during 1972-73. Appalachian State Chancellor Herbert Walter Wey (1969-1979) can be seen in the background on the right. Appalachian State has been accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools since 1942, and was reevaluated every ten years. Seated in the foreground and facing the camera are, from left to right, are Dr. Joseph Logan (Dean of the College of Education) and Mr. Robert West (Department of Finance, Insurance and Real Estate).
