Board of Governors, trusteeship conference, Tom and Lynn Chandler

This image shows Tom and Lynn Chandler of Appalachian State at the luncheon during the 1989 Conference on Trusteeship held at Appalachian State University (1967-current). Attendees included the Board of Governors, trustees and chancellors from the 16 universities within the University of North Carolina System. Guest speakers included Paul Fulton, president of the Sara Lee Corporation, and University of California President Emeritus Clark Kerr. It was held in the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center, built 1972.
