This image shows a conference held by the North Carolina Association of Educators at the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center, built 1972, at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the late 1970s or early 1980s. Men and women are seen sitting at a table with paper cups in front of them. The Broyhill Inn and Conference Center served as an inn and the home of the Center for Continuing Education. Fourth from the left is Dr. Isabel Jones, Professor of Reading Education. At the head of the table is Dr. Larry Woodrow, Professor of Elementary Education. Fifth from the right and seated next to Dr. Woodrow is Mr. James R. Roberts, Professor of Secondary Education.
