This image shows the speakers during the dedication of the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center in 1973 at Appalachian State University (1967-current). Appalachian State Chancellor Herbert Walter Wey (1969-1979) can be seen sitting in the center, with President Emeritus William Howard Plemmons (1955-1969) on his left. The Broyhill Inn and Conference Center, built 1972, served as an inn and the home of the Center for Continuing Education. Those seated from left to right are Mr. Barry Rogers, Director of the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center; President Emeritus William H. Plemmons; Chancellor Herbert W.
