Description

This image shows part of the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) Homecoming Parade in 1965. Appalachian State Varsity Cheerleaders are seen riding on a white convertible down King Street in Boone, NC, while other cheerleaders dressed in white walk alongside it. Onlookers can be seen standing in the background, and local businesses, including Carolina Pharmacy, Sears and Roebuck and Co., College Hall, Coe Real Estate Insurance, and the Appalachian Movie Theater, line the south side of King Street.
