This image shows part of the Appalachian State University (1967-current) Homecoming Parade in the 1970s. A car can be seen driving down the street filled with students waving pom-poms, while a marching band follows in the background, on King Street in Boone, NC. Onlookers can be seen standing on the right and left, and local businesses, including Carolina Pharmacy and Coe Real Estate Insurance, line the south side of King Street. The image was taken during the 1970s.
