This image shows the attendees at the celebration following the presidential inauguration of Dr. Herbert Walter Wey in 1969 at Appalachian State University (1967-current). Former President William Howard Plemmons (1955-1969) can be seen sitting at a table on the right. Ms. Elizabeth Plemmons, wife of President Plemmons can be seen sitting second from the right. Wey served as president/chancellor from 1969 to 1979. Standing second from the left is Mr. E.G. Lackey, member of the ASU board of Trustees.
