This image shows Robert Snead, director of the Office of Alumni Affairs from 1966-1971, speaking with two women at the celebration following the presidential inauguration of Dr. Herbert Walter Wey in 1969 at Appalachian State University (1967-current). Wey followed William Howard Plemmons, president from 1955 to 1969, and served as president/chancellor from 1969 to 1979. In the center and between the two women is Mr. William Rankin, member of the Board of Trustees.
