Residence Halls, 1969, dedication, photo 1

This image shows the attendees of the dedication ceremony for Cone, Coltrane, Cannon and Gardner Residence Halls at Appalachian State University (1967-current) on May 18, 1969. The attendees included D. S. Coltrane, William Howard Plemmons, and Charles Cannon. Coltrane and Gardner were male residence halls and Cone and Cannon were female residence halls. All were completed in 1968. Second from the right is Mr. Dwight Quinn. Third from the right is Senator Sam Ervin.
