Description

This image shows a a student having his yearbook photograph taken in a gymnasium in what is possibly Chapell Wilson Hall, built 1938, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) during the mid-1950s. A student sits on a trunk in front of a screen backdrop on the right while a photographer takes a photograph on the left. Other students can be seen in the background. Rhododendron yearbook photographs were taken each fall, either by the Rhododendron staff or by contract with local businesses such as Palmer's Photo Shop in Boone, NC.
