YMCA, 1955-56, basketball team

This image shows the Young Men's Christian Association Basketball Team for 1955-56 at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) at Broome-Kirk Gymnasium, built 1955. The YMCA began at Appalachian State in 1933, and met in Justice Hall, built 1952. It was a non-denominational Christian group. This image appears in the 1956 Rhododendron (p. 54).
