This image shows some of the international students attending Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in the 1950s, standing in front of an entryway to one of the campus buildings. The image shows Marco Armando, a Rotary Exchange Student from Cuzo, Peru, Frank Llevat from Cardenas, Cuba, Atilio Mendoza from Monteria, Cordoba, Columbia, South America, and Abraham Maciques from Cardenas, Cuba. This image appears in the October 1, 1954 edition of "The Appalachian" (p. 2), and the 1955 Rhododendron (p. 15).
