This image shows the members of an unidentified student organization at Appalachian High School (1938-1965) sitting on the steps in front of the main entrance to Chapell Wilson Hall, built 1938, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). Appalachian High School was a joint venture between Appalachian State Teachers College and Watauga County Schools, wherein Watauga students would be taught by Appalachian State faculty and students. It was housed in Chapell Wilson Hall.
