This image shows the Men's "A" Club for 1952-53, posing in the Men's Gymnasium, built 1934, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). The "A" Club was formed of varsity athletes voted and initiated into the club by existing members. Third from the left on the first row is Jack Groce. Fifth from the right on the second row is Alvin Hooks.
