Title

Educational Displays, circa 1959, photo 1

Description

This image shows a group of people working on a display, dated 1959 and entitled "How to Display the Flag." The display includes cutouts of bells with square diagrams of the different visual representations of the American Flag. A man uses a stick to point to the bell in the center of the display, while two others watch. A woman can be seen in the foreground, working on more display materials at a table just below the image. This image was taken by John Pritchett, director of the Audio-Visual Center and University Photographer at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). Appalachian State sponsored many programs each year, including teacher workshops designed to update teaching methods using visual materials.
