Description

This image shows student Jean Rankin facing Appalachian State President William Howard Plemmons (1955-1969) at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) on February 3, 1959. Jean Rankin was a sophomore in 1958-59, and was elected the Homecoming queen for 1958. Rankin was a business education major and program chairman of the Appalachian State chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America, formerly known as the Business Club.
