This image shows a group of students meeting at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) during 1958. They are seated in chairs in Broome-Kirk Gymnasium, built 1955. Students included are, from right to left, Rhododendron class editor Jim Carter, senior William Cleere, Rhododendron class editor Betty Kaye Mayes, Rhododendron business staff member Nellie Harwood, Rhododendron class editor Don Abernathy, and one other student.
