This image shows a member of the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) Mountaineer football team, standing on College Field at night, throwing a football. College Field was located south of the Administration Building, built 1924, approximately where Rankin Science Hall was later built in 1963.The image was taken in the early 1950s.
