This image shows coach Robert W. Broome standing in front of a building at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). Broome taught physical education at Appalachian State since 1947, and worked as assistant football coach and head coach of baseball from 1947 to 1956. After coach E. C. Duggins retired in 1956, he became head coach until his death in 1959.
