Women's Athletic Association, 1958, softball team

This image shows the Women's Athletic Association's softball team for 1957-58 at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). The Women's Athletic Association was formed of women who were physical education majors interested in extracurricular activities related to physical and health education. Association activities included games and programs emphasizing physical education and exercise, such as volleyball, softball, speedball, soccer, and basketball. This image appears in the 1958 Rhododendron (p. 155).
