Description

This image shows a meeting of the Business Club at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) on February 19, 1958. Six members of the Club stand behind a desk in a classroom. The poster on the wall reads, "Newsweek's Map-of-the-Month for January 1958," with a map of Eastern Asia and the Pacific Islands, marking positions of the military forces of the U. S. and U. S. S. R., entitled, "Shadow Over Java." The Business Club consisted of business education majors of all classes and other students interested in business education. The Club focused on interaction between teachers and students, individual responsibilities, school spirit, citizenship, and recreation.
