Description

This image shows nine members of the Playcrafters, the dramatic organization at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). Seen from left to right, in the first row, is sponsor Mary Ruth Johnston, Beth Davis, Willie Frye, Don McDonald, and in the second row, Donna Wilson, Maxine Cooper, Mickey Haglar, Dale Freeman, Jean Earl Hawks, and Thomas Vance. The Playcrafters performed multiple one-act and three-act plays during the school year, as well as performing in regional and state contests.
