Christian Teachers Club, 1958, photo 1

This image shows the members of the Christian Teachers Club at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) for 1957-58. The Club focused on developing Christian attitudes and setting a foundation for Christian teaching with relevant programs and discussions held weekly in Lovill Home, built 1915. It also participated with the Religious Council and Religious Emphasis Week. From left to right, this image shows, in the front row, David Mackorell, Don Abernathy, Ruby Elkins, Sylvia Laird, Gail Jones, Jim Carter, and in the back row, Jerry Eller, Ray Cleere, and Martha Goodson. This image appears in the 1958 Rhododendron (p.115 .
